PostScript File Format
One
of the biggest challenges of sending a file to Copy Central is making sure
you have accounted for everything that is needed to output your file…every
image, every font and every graphic must be linked and available for your file to
print correctly.
So what is one to do?
Create the document in a "print-ready" format such as a
PostScript file.
The
PostScript file contains all your images, fonts and graphics in one file.
To create a PostScript file you must have the following loaded on your
system:
-
A
PostScript printer driver, such as Adobe PS 4.5 for Windows or Adobe PSPrinter
8.7.2 for Macintosh.
These drivers will work for any digital printer Copy Central has.
-
A
PostScript Printer Description (PPD) file specific to a particular
printer. The PPD is a small file that describes characteristics of a particular
printer such as the Xerox DocuTech, Canon 1000, etc.
